Canadian Skating Championships

A wild weekend covering the BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships in London.
Dispite having my car broken into downtown, apparently a sport in itself in London, I had a great time shooting the skating. It was the first skating competition I had covered since the Torino Games.
Here are some of my favourite pictures from the weekend.
Brittany Jones and Kurtis Gaskell from Western Ontario compete in the Senior Pair Free program at the 2010 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships at the John Labatt Centre in London.
Meagan Duhamel and Craig Buntin compete in the Senior Pair Free program.
Carol Lane covers the eyes of Vanessa Crone and Paul Poirier (other coach is Juris Razgulajevs) so they cannot see the replay of a fall, despite that the pair went on to win an Olympic berth with a second place finish the Senior Dance.
Cynthia Phaneuf's outfit got a little more sparkly after adding a silver medal.
YA, I have to show a fall, sorry Jeremy, Jeremy Ten misses his landing in the Men's Free skate on the last day.
Ronald Lam spins in the Men's Free skate.
Shawn Sawyer finished fourth the Men's title on the last day at the 2010 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships.
Vaughn Chipeur celebrates his second place finish for the Men's Title.
My favourite figure skating "kiss and cry" ever! Vaughn Chipeur should give lessons to all athletes on how to celebrate! He came in second, I would love to have seen what would have happened had he won!
Pairs silver medalists Anabelle Langlois and Cody Hay perform during the Exhibition Gala which featured all the Junior and Senior medalists after the 2010 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships.
Men's silver medalist Vaughn Chipeur performs during the Exhibition Gala.
