Great photos ! This is why I didn't attend this year. I'm a passionate amateur photographer , one of thousands of thousands here in Toronto. In previous years one was able to buy a Super Pass ( approx.$200 ) to take race photos trough a hole in the fence at various locations around the track. Not so this year, we've been banned, therefore blaming lack of attendance on politically correct fans is not 100% correct. By being politically correct themselves, Honda Indy has kept over a thousand passionate paying amateur photographer customers from attending as well.

Amen, brother. What a disappointment that the organizers did not offer the Super Photo Pass. I specifically did not attend this year due to the lack of this pass. Hopefully Mr. Johnstone and Savoree will offer it next year.

Er... I'm a bit late to this discussion, but they never issued 1,000 Super Photo Passes. They issued I believe around 25. There are only ever about 100 fully credentialed photographers on race day, can you imagine 1,000 other people jamming up the photo holes?
