Peru defeats Canada 2-0
With far less mayhem and noise than a TFC match, Team Canada lost a friendly with the National soccer team of Peru 2-0 at BMO Field Saturday.
Soccer to us, and football to the Peruvians, continues to amaze this photographer. With far more hockey and basketball, heck even more curling than soccer under my belt, I struggle to find the flow of the so called beautiful game.
The pace varies greatly from under 21 FIFA ,to MLSE, to today's National teams going at it. Canada did well in the first half keeping the score to nil each side but could not keep pace with the heavily fan-supported Peru team.
With fan support growing for soccer, the photographers here will have to get more familiar with the nuances of the biggest game in the world, but boy it is nice to feel the chill in the air. Go Leafs Go!
Enjoy the extra pics!
