So You Think You Can Dance Canada finale!
Steve Russell - Staff Photographer
It is hard to have such contrasting assignments in a short period of time.
Early last week I covered the Russell Williams trial, this sunday was the So you Think You Can Dance Canada finale.
Last week I was balanced on a ladder in the morning and afternoon to await aproximately two seconds of action. Sunday night I was balanced on a crowded riser with at least 40 minutes of action.
My subject last week, head down and expressionless, Sunday night, nothing but expression!
Last week my nemisis was an eight-foot fence with netting, Sunday night it was a black-clad steady cameraman.
Heavy, light. Dark, fun. Heart wrenching, spirit lifting. Contrast!

" ... my nemisis, the black clad steady cameraman appears!..." Perhaps a martial arts class is in order... where they teach you to throw the tethered balls that wrap around your opponents legs to trip them up. Just sayin'........

Thanks for posting a great picture of my son Colin Petierre from DanceMaxx Studio, he was the young audience member entertaining the crowd during the commercial break!! He loves dancing on the SYTYCD Canada stage and is inspired to compete on that very stage in the future!!
