Raonic versus Sampras

I love covering tennis! It's something that I rarely get to do, but  when I have a great time.

I played a little bit growing up in Peru, but mostly was fascinated by people who could play the game at a high level.

Watching the top ranked Canadian Milos Raonic play Pete Sampras was a lot of fun.

We sit court level and truly see how fast the game can be, even though it is an exhibition. 

Even out of the top level game for almost a decade the amount of polish Sampras' game has was wonderful to watch.

A year ago Thornhill's Milos Raonic was ranked 156th in the world, he currently is ranked 31st and has been ranked as high as 25th.

 

After I got hit by the zebra I was LMFAO

If you would have told me that I would ever be hit by a zebra while covering a concert I would have called you crazy.

Even if you would have said it was a giant inflatable zebra!

But I guess it is one of the hazards of covering party band LMFAO at the Air Canada Centre.

Overall, it was a really fun concert to cover, the band started on time and that makes photographers with a tight deadline happy.

The show, well that was something, it was like every single party stereotype threw up on stage, it was great.

The band, bathed in light, was energetic and really knew how to connect with the crowd.

A fan who airbrushed her arms to match the LMFOA back up dancers waits for the concert to start. 

Johnny Mac, he ain't coming back.......

We are gonna miss number six!

He actually left on August 23rd when he was packaged up with Aaron Hill and traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks for Kelly Johnson.

While John McDonald wasn't one of the key members of the Jays, getting into 549 games in seven seasons in a Jays uniform, it seems most of his moments on the diamond were key.

His hustle, glove and patience made him a fan favourite.

I'm sure the news that he has resigned with the Diamondbacks are going to leave those Toronto Blue Jay's fans who had hoped for his return a little sad.
