DAVID COOPER - As darkness falls it's show time. Stefania Pupo, operates a daycare on Mill Street in Richmond Hill. She had a fundraiser in her backyard with an outdoor movie screen showing a kids' flick put on by freshaircinema.ca. June 21, 2013.
CARLOS OSORIO - Thomas Wesolowski and Sandy Figueredo work for The Cleaning Company which cleans street furniture in Toronto including as garbage bins and bus shelters. On this night they were cleaning bus shelters on a stretch of Islington Avenue north of Higway 401. They work in pairs. They start by removing any posters or advertising from the shelters. Then they wash and squeegee and pick up any litter in the vicinity. They typically work 12 hours days an mostly at night.

RICHARD LAUTENS - Principal Nicole Pearson is surrounded by kindergarden students as she brings down a portrait of Mandela created by grade 8 students. Nelson Mandela Park Public School held its opening ceremony following years of extensive renovations. The school is one of the oldest in Toronto and was re-named nine years ago. June 10, 2013.
STEVE RUSSELL - Floyd McDaniel, who drives into shorus practice every week from Michigan, is described friends as a fun guy. The Northern Lights Barbershop chorus practices in the basement of the Willowdale Baptist Church for the Barbershop Harmony Society's annual International competition that will be held at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. RICHARD LAUTENS - Dayanara Orozco Torres, 5, laughs as she jumps out of the play house. Blyadon Public School in the Keele and Wilson area has put in an outdoor classroom for their kindergarden. The kids loved it, but most surprising was the positive impact on children with autism in the diagnostic kindergarten. They discovered this at a time when the benefits of nature and the outdoors for chidlren with special needs are just beginning to be explored. June 11, 2013.

CARLOS OSORIO - Winston LaRose photographed at the intersection of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West. On paper he's Winston LaRose, but in person he is known as "Mr. Jane and Finch." He is an advocate, activist and even nurse for the community that he is named after. June 24, 2013.
BERNARD WEIL - Torontonians took to the beach and even braved the cool water at Ashbridges Bay, Toronto. Despite the heat, a group of women, dressed in their Abaya, cooled off in the lake. June 26, 2013.
RICK MADONIK - Just before Toronto Mayor Rob Ford took part in the 69th D-Day celebrations in Nathan Phillips Square, different groups of school children came by his office seeking his signature, all part of an "Amazing Race" from their school. This group got their signature before he went out to the Square.
STEVE RUSSELL - As city council debates whether or not the University of Toronto back campus field should have a heritage designation and be prevented from being converted to an artificial turf field for the Pan Am games, Rob Ford, Earl Provost and Doug Ford have an animated discussion on top of the Podium roof at City Hall in Toronto, June 12, 2013.
STEVE RUSSELL - A woman, identified as Madina Gasla by relatives, is lead out by police into a cruiser as police raid buildings at 320, 330 and 340 Dixon Road. Police in tactical gear were working with the Guns and Gangs unit, June 13, 2013.
RICK MADONIK - Police carry bags of goods seized from the house of Muhammed Khattak. Guns and Gang task force raid a number of places in the city. Much of the activity was focused on buildings on Dixon Road. One of the places also investigated was the home of Muhammed Khattak, the third person seen in the photograph with Mayor Rob Ford outside of 15 Windsor Road.
STEVE RUSSELL - Albert Chaudry who lives on the second floor at 320 Dixon weeps as he says police broke in his door, threw in stun grenades and handcuffed him as they searched for his nephew, who does not live with him and is currently in prison. DAVID COOPER - Canadian Captain Christine Sinclair charges up the sideline marked by USA's Ali Krieger during a friendly between the Canadian and US women's national soccer teams. Canada lost 3-0 to USA June 2, 2013.
STEVE RUSSELL - Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Munenori Kawasaki is doubled off at first after a sharply hit ball by Melky Cabrera was caught by the Orioles second baseman. Thw Toronto Blue Jays did extend their win streak to ten games with a 4-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles, June 22, 2013.
