A combination shows seven file pictures (LtoR, top to bottom) taken in 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000 and 1999 of US cyclist Lance Armstrong posing on the podium on the Champs-Elysees in Paris after winning the Tour de France cycling race, and a picture taken in 2005 showing seven fingers (meaning seven victories) during the 92nd Tour de France. Lance Armstrong was banned and stripped of his Tour victories by the International Cycling Union (UCI) as the world cycling body upheld an earlier doping sanction handed to the seven-times Tour de France champion.
I don't really think it is much of a surprise after all the accusations from the beginning of him using enhancement drugs. I don't think it is much of a big deal either, because it is known in the entire cycling industry of sports for the cyclists doping. I do think it was right that they stripped him of his titles, however for the live strong organization did a lot of great things so it shouldn't get ridiculed for it.
