Editorial Board: Huge loss for Mayor Rob Ford? Not so fast

Welcome to the weekly podcast from the editorial board of the Toronto Star, focusing on top issues of the day. The board is responsible for the editorials that appear every day in the Star, and every day we have a lively discussion on what to write about, and what to say. The podcast will give us a chance to share some of those debates with Star readers.

Today we’re talking about three issues – the controversial budget passed by Toronto city council, a proposal for a casino in downtown Toronto, and a minor tempest over whether it matters if a federal party leader has citizenship in a country other than Canada. Editorial page editor Andrew Phillips is joined by editorial board members Gordon Barthos, Kerry Gillespie and Leslie Papp.
