Today we're looking at the politics behind the provincial budget, which was tabled yesterday.
PC leader Tim Hudak could have claimed the budget as a victory, since it contained many of the things that the Conservatives have been clamouring for. Instead he came out with the same old lines he's been using since the election. They don't change no matter what the government does.
This puts NDP leader Andrea Horwath in the driver's seat when the budget vote comes up. The trouble for her is that if she supports the budget, she may have a tough time explaining that to some of her constituents down the road.
