Canada's Olympics: Success or failure?

Canada fell just short of its own Olympics expectations for the London Games, winning 18 medals: one gold; five silver; and 12 bronze. By the official ranking, which uses gold medals as the standard, Canada was 36th, coming behind countries like Belarus and Kazakhstan. Is this a failure, or do medals not really matter that much anyway?

Also today we’ll discuss some of the policy options are health care, in light of a poll for the Canadian Medical Association that found a substantial gap between rich and poor Canadians when it comes to health.
