Some things from late last night/early this morning, as we all get ready for the big event Friday (and yes, I'm pretty pumped about the ski jumping heats too):
Looking for tickets? Ticket scalping is legal in B.C., and here's your officially-licensed ticket resale site.
With 55,000 expected in the house at B.C. Place for Friday's opening ceremony, it'll be interesting to see what the ratio is to the crowd out at the alt-ceremony earlier in the afternoon.
And if you're looking for history, try Marjan Kalhor - the first Iranian woman to march into a Winter Games opening ceremony. The skier is part of Iran's team of four.
The flame will be lit by - no one's saying for sure. But in the history of Olympic lamp-lighting, the people's choice has to be Barcelona 1992.
Who do you want to see at Friday's opening hoo-hah? Bryan Adams, Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan, k.d. Lang - they're a given. My list goes something like Bill Shatner, Andrea Martin and most of all, ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Stompin' Tom Connors!
