Impish hint on the Hill

There seems to be a widespread assumption out there that the Liberals are unveiling their carbon tax tomorrow. We here at the Star have been told, with some certainty and from several senior quarters, that the announcement, complete with a media briefing, will come on Thursday. By Friday, the House of Commons should have risen for the long, summer break and Dion and other Liberals plan to hit the road to sell the carbon tax "shift."

See Garth Turner's blog post yesterday for an impish hint about what the announcement might look like.

According to John Ivison here it will be unveiled tomorrow to caucus and the the PPG.

Is the Star getting left out ???

I don't really care..they have lost the momentum...
If you can't communicate the message in a way that the electorate will "get it" within a 36 day campaign - then sorry - Stephane - hand over the keys to someone who can..
Going out to "do it over the summer" when Harper doesn't have to come back until December sucks wind man...
the electorate will be thinking "what was the middle part again" by the time the writ is dropped...these are not undergraduates we are talking about here...
Obama did it - with no significant party support - and pretty well EVERYONE bought it - well except the top 1% of the population....
That what politicians are - fundamentally - communicators - these days..none of you can move without some expert telling you what will work and what won't - don't for Cripes sake try to be the Big Professor for Everything - that will just not work...Duh!
I'm really really mad with what the party is doing right now!

Is it an impish hint due to the IMP (ie Garth) that gave you this hint?

Canadians be prepared for National Energy Program circa 2008

Give er a try Stephane...good luck selling it.
