Fall election

To all those who thought that the New Democrats might not go along with any move by the Liberals to provoke a fall election, Jack Layton had  this to say this morning, about his continuing, steadfast  opposition to the Conservative government.

"Anybody who's holding their breath and thinking that's going to change should think twice."

PM Harper is holding his breath, and if Layton wants, he can make a deal with Harper, whether he's naughty or nice ... twice

Bad politics! Jack does not realize that it is not always best to be first. In political time, September is a long way out. I cannot think why all three opposition parties would set the stage this early. They have no idea what the field of play will look like at that time. Never make a decision before you have to. Positioning etc will be dictated by events of the summer. This leaves me thinking that the opposition leaders are not ready for prime time. The government has just been given a gift, three opposition parties in a corner.

Layton has badly exceeded his 'Best Before' date, and the only reason to hold one's breath in his vicinity is to avoid inhaling the rotting stench of the mouldy NDP. People who vote NDP have got to be very very bitter about life in Canada.
