Free lunch

Last week, I'm pretty sure I heard Elizabeth May, on TV,  lamenting the lack of attention her party is getting lately. She said something like: "Maybe I should record the Green Party's platform and leave the tape recording in a women's washroom on the Hill." (That's a reference, of course, to the Lisa Raitt controversy.)

So, in that spirit, pardon the pun, it seems that May has decided that if the journalists won't go to her, she'll go to them. Hence this event, scheduled for this morning:

Time: 11:00

Participant(s): Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada
Location: Hy’s Streakhouse and Cocktail Bar, 170 Queen Street, Ottawa
Subject: Luncheon and discussion about how the Green Party is revving up for the next general election. Learn more about our Candidates’ local activities and a Q & A with Elizabeth May.

Eleven A.M. is a little early for Hy's, if you ask me, but I am making the supreme sacrifice and heading over there now.

Here's my question for Elizabeth May: The next time someone waves the carrot of a senate seat in front of your nose, will you jump ship in the blink of an eye - again? I question your commitment to the green party.
