Dave

It is comical to witness the Liberals wave the messiah position with "King Peter".

Jeff Jedras

It's called sarcasm, Dave. The media are raising silly expectations. We're mocking that.

I'm sure Peter Donolo puts his pants on one leg at a time. Except after he does, he kicks ass and takes names.

Thane

Susan, I hope you realise that those first three are cribbed from the chucknorrisfacts.com website, only with the words 'Peter Donolo' subbed in for 'Chuck Norris'.

Once a US presidential candidate uses the jokes (Huckabee in 2008) it's pretty much game over for counting it as funny.

Mike-D

Hmmm... One or two of those sounded kind of familiar...

Say what you will, anyone, but maybe Mr. Donalo is the shot in the arm (pandemic notwithstanding) that the Liberals need. Sure gives Harper another reason not to want another election, lol...besides the fact that Mr. Page and Ms. Fraser haven't been through the books yet...and THAT, ladies and gents, will be the turning point, methinks.

If the implications weren't so serious, I'd be ROTFLMAO at this point. But there is growing concern and circumstantial evidence that Canada may be in far deeper financial doo-doo than the Conservatives are willing to admit, and they'll eventually wear it like an oversized cheap suit. Y'see, the Cons are known to be relying on an economic recovery, but other news I've read today seem to indicate that we're actually heading for another downturn--that big "W"-type thing *real* economists have been referring to as of late.

Add to that the horribly misguided plan by Flats to raise payroll taxes, making it more expensive for us ordinary slobs to go to work and for our bosses to keep us on. Some recovery plan. Now I'm not sure of the figures re. payroll taxes--I've read one source saying 35% in five years, another says 42% in five years. If anyone knows what the actual figures are, I'd sure appreciate it if you would post those numbers...thanks in advance.
