Boy someone looks as uncomfortable as he did at the soup kitchen. Does wearing the red sweater mean he is trying to be extra nice and thoughtful like the PM in the blue sweater? I do not know who Iggy listens to but this is getting more comical everyday. I guess this photo op took in the place of the all important China trip he promised to do then cancelled!!

Looks like lots of kids have professional cameras at this daycare.
Must be one of those preschools that teach media and public relations.

Even in a staged photo op, even 3 year olds choose to ignore Mr. Ignatieff. He looks lost in his own little world.

He looks more engaged in his project than the rest of the kids.

Children's daycare?.......in the picture I count 11 adults and three kids.

Hey look, a Lego, Tory logo!

It doesn't seem that Mr. Ignatieff has the attention of the kids at all. Can't say that I blame them really. Playing with shapes is serious business. Iggy looks lonely.
This photo isn't very complimentary at all!

Of course he talked to a high school in Regina and now visiting the daycare today. He is afraid to appear in public and face the tough questions as to why the confusion over appearing on a panel at the Carr Institute at Harvard or making a speech on Canada's economic future on the same day.
Trouble is nobody is listening to Iffy so he has to find comfort in meeting kids who are far less judgmental.

When Ignatieffy was asked in March 2005 about leaving Harvard ... he told the Toronto Star....
“I have the best job in the world, and I can’t see any foreseeable circumstance where I want to change. And that’s the hand-on-heart truth,” - Michael Ignatieff, March 2005

I was reading all the stories about Tory pork barreling, logos on cheques, & $100k photo ops and was wondering where all the rabid conservative commentors were. Lo & behold I find them berating Iggy for having a photo-op with children.
Typical.

This man's [hoto ops are getting more phony all the time.Children he has never met before, going up and giving him a huge hug, strains credibility. If not, the parents of these kids had better never put them down in a crowd.
Food bank, inner city supper and a "group hug" from kids. And the result would/will be???????

Nice sweater.

The return of Mr. Rogers! Only these kids don't want to play in his neighborhood.
Posted by: Soccermom | October 20, 2009 at 03:13 PM
What is the point of this nonsense? Isn't he a busy man?

My, my - the green eyed trolls come out. Has it ever occured to anyone, even journalists, that Ignatieff, Layton and May are also parents? Of course, they'd be used to kids.
By the way, if anyone wants to trouble themselves - Ignatieff has worn a sweater at many towns halls, etc. for quite a long time.
Grow up.

But the kids aren't looking at the fancy cameras either, so this really doesn't say much, except why is Ignatieff spending time doing this?

wtf is with the leaders of political parties and their sweaters anyway?
