What Ignatieff is reading

The Liberal leader has given some book recommendations to Foreign Policy magazine, which named him one of the world's top 100 thinkers a few weeks ago. Here's what he has to say about his picks (both Canadian authors.)

Angels and Ages by Adam Gopnik: "An absolutely wonderful book about the liberal temperament."

Fearful Symmetry: The Rise and Fall of Canada's Founding Values by Brian Lee Crowley  "It's an attack on everything I believe, so it's very bracing and interesting.... He's saying that Canadian liberalism has damaged Canada, and as the Liberal Party leader I have to disagree. But it's very intelligent and it's very important to take your adversaries seriously, so I'm taking him seriously."

Foreign Policy Magazine? What the hack is that? Is there anythign in there about how to be an elected leader of a political party? Iggy could use that!!!! It is not surprisign that Iggy only sees thigns though Liberal eyes. Of course Canada Liberalism has damaged Canada. With mostof the last 30yrs being run by Liberals, we have irrefutable evidence of historical metrics to resoundly declare many Liberal fundamentals as falures. They might have been successful 75yrs ago, but today they no longer work. The world has changed. Liberals didn't. Bye-Bye, don't let the hit your butt on the way out.

Straight Shooter - what kind of childish rant was that. Yup, some folks read other things besides Playboy and My Pet Goat.
