Animal farm

The Canadian Taxpayers' Federation has served as a farm team of sorts for the Conservatives through the years. Immigration Minister Jason Kenney once headed the organization, as did the Prime Minister's current head of communications, John Williamson.

But the federation has been distinctly unhappy with Harper's spending record of late and it has another kind of farm imagery on its mind. Here is its newly released video, which is billed as "light-hearted," even though I find it a bit scary (I think it's the glowing red eyes.)

And an update *** Alert readers have noticed that this ad has been "borrowed" from a California politician's attack ad and there have been some suggestions that the tactic backfired. ****

Can they do this? That's an ad being run by Fiorino in California who's running for senate?

Is it legal to use someone else's ad?

Looks like the right also has concerns about the Rogue PM.

ha ha ha. Conservatives seem to be catching on to what us in the centre and left have known for years. Stephen Harper is a liar and no where near a fiscal conservative. He'll do and spend whatever he thinks is necessary to to consolidate and hold onto power. Power only. That's your Mr. Harper right wingers. You blame Liberals and NDP for supposedly taxing and spending but that is fiscally responsible. You have to balance books. Mr Harper is just a spend conservative. How balanced will that make our books? Also HE DID raise taxes. Just not the ones you notice when you buy a bottle of cola. Ans he is still spending more that is remotely fiscally conservative.

Neo-Conservatives in Canada are following the same playbook as neo-Conservatives in the United States. John McCain, who is seen in the following short video, was talking about mostly the same issues while using exactly the same kind of double-talk that we now hear coming from Canadian neo-Conservatives who are trying to bring the failing American franchise operation to power in Canada. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioy90nF2anI
