Summer hiatus

I'm away from the office for most of August -- a combination of vacation and occasional stints with the Liberal Express. Next weekend, I'll be in London and then Windsor, when former prime minister Paul Martin links up with the tour, and toward the end of the month, I'll be covering the Liberals' summer retreat in Baddeck, NS.

Apart from that, I'll be enjoying Ottawa in the summertime and working a bit on this feature I hope to run in the Star sometime over the next month. Blogging here will be occasional; ditto for Twitter presence, though I won't completely disappear. A friend of mine observed recently that "August is the Sunday night of months."  That sounds about right -- over the next few weeks, I'll be half relaxing, half getting ready for the busy work week(s) ahead this fall.
