An eerie Ford coincidence

Okay, this is kind of spooky.

Ford Motor Co. today reported a 68 per cent increase in its third-quarter earnings.

In Toronto, according to this City Hall web page, Rob Ford's salary will  from $99,619 annually as a councillor, to $167,769 a year as mayor. That is, yes, a 68 per cent jump in pay.

What can we learn from this coincidence? I don't have a clue.
