The Goods On The Game, Vol. 1, No. 3

Bosh has now had two shots soundly rejected by Dalembert, who is being called Sammy this season by the PA announcers.

-

Alvin Williams update:

Everyone's favourite Raptor isn't in the house but was around the night before the game, I'm told, and is loving his life here in Philly. He's doing some basketball clinics, thinks he might like to set up some sort of hoops academy. And he's still playing, too, on a couple of teams in leagues around town and tries to get some sort of run in every day or so.

-

5:13 left, O'Neal draws first offensive foul, filling in to take a charge in the lane from Thaddeus Young.

-

A Moon three! His shooting percentage is through the roof.

-

An O'Neal dunk!

-

First sub: Bargnani for Bosh, a bit of a switch; it's usually Bargnani for O'Neal.

-

Stop me if you've heard this before: The Raptors are being hammered on the boards. It's 15-3 Sixers now.

-

O'Neal looks worn out. And that's with two minutes left in the quarter. Troubling. He's replaced by Bosh, no sign of oxygen at the bench (I keed, I keed).

-

Anticipating a raucous crowd, incorrectly as it turns out, this was Sam this morning:

"We just have to be in the game until the end of the first quarter when the game settles down and then just play basketball."

Sixers 21, Raptors 18 after one.
