The Goods On The Game, Vol. 2, No. 9

Now, I know there were lots of you out there who were big Marcus Williams fans in his draft year, weren't there? Okay, well, the Warriors today declined to pick up his option for next year, a big slap in the face.

A scout friend, when apprised of it, had this to say:

"No surprise. The kid cannot play."

And sure enough, Nellie's not playing him.

-

They're dropping like flies. AP drives and the play ends with two Warriors sprawled on the court.

-

Here we go. I look up and there's Bosh going back in. It's time to decide this one.

-

Jermaine O'Neal is 2-for-10 from the floor. Chris Bosh is 10-for-20. Oh, and O'Neal gets his fifth foul with 6:17 left and it's time for Bargnani to replace him.

-

Andris Biedrins is a horrible free throw shooter. Bet Hoffa could make more of 'em. Maybe that's why they took him.

Hee hee...was anyone paying attention to Doug or was more focused on watching the Dance Pack dance by?

"that’s unorthodox approach" in your article?

I'm assume second edit will change that to "whose unorthodox approach".

Saw you right in fronna me tonight, Doug. What a game!

I'm not disagreeing with you, but it isn't just the fans who were high on Marcus Williams. BC was also a big fan. There is a video of BC frantically trying to figure out why Williams was slipping in the draft, and he wanted to acquire a pick to get him.

it was an incredible game.... not sure about it being one of the best ever in that building though. there have been some crazy games there. but this was definitely a great way to start the season at home.

A video! Way to go.

That was a great game, you sound like you really enjoyed it, too.

Doug, I just wanted to say that the amount of work you do on this blog is incredible, and is a huge service to fans like me. Before reading your blog my basketball IQ was pretty low, it's awesome to have your take on things!

Nice video!

Wow, looking good, sir.
