JO a no go

Just sitting here in an ante room across the hall from the Raptor locker room waiting for some pearls of wisdom from Chris Bosh (yeah, they'll be pearls, indeed) but the wait's given us time for this update:

Sam just stopped into say Jermaine O'Neal's moving around a bit better on his sore left ankle but not good enough to play against Atlanta tonight.

Guess there's zillionth of a per cent chance things change before 7 p.m. but the really smart money has Jamario Moon back in the starting lineup, Andrea at centre and O'Neal in a suit.

Just thought we'd keep you up to date.

Thanks for the update Mary Deanne Shears! Can we just call you Mary from now on?!? Please say yes!

Dude, it's no wonder you got the well deserved award. Great writing and always thinking of us the reader. Thanks.

Going back to your previous post (is that allowed?) - where do you think the pessimism comes from in Toronto? Can it be all the Leafs? I might like to point one finger in particular at some of your colleagues who 'always know better'.

Oh, and the Korea Basketball League isn't great but it is competitive with the two games I've seen coming down to the dying minutes, and big shots being made by the home team, the KTF MagicWings (yes pro teams in Korea are all named by sponsors, not cities..hmmmm). And from preliminary research Bar St. in Beijing is alive and well...can't wait to check it out myself. Peace.

Great update Doug!
Congrats on the award....hardest working Grunt on the scene!
Have a couple "pops" for me Kid!

Holy Cow Smity so you ever take a break?!

Glad I added the blog to my bookmarks! Thanks for the news! Even if it's bad for the Raps -- but good in the long run.

noooooooooooooooooooo.. no j/o?
man.. and was reaching top form too!
wow after those years in indiana with all the injuries the press musta really given him a rough time.
the interview with him a couple days ago... lol.. ive yet to see a player try to 'prove' everything was alright to the teams fans more that jay-o did. showing his knee??? wow lol.
i really hope he heals fully and gets back on the horse and stays free of injury. i feel like he truly wants a fresh start here and is giving it his all. i hope his body lets him do that.

Any, news on when J.O. is likely to return? I'd hate to think he'd be out most of the season, making this the most disappointing roster move Colangelo's ever made.

Blogger's note: It's a slightly tweaked ankle, he'll most likely play Sunday.

Congrats on the award --- hope that the recognition develops into more than a 2K reward, I add to your highers up.

im coming to the game tonight doug, can i hang with you after the game? most importantly can u introduce me to O neal?

lol.

Congrats on the award, Doug. Well deserved.

E

Maybe he showers Joey with confidence and gives HIM the start ... ?

RE: Matty-Pix

The only thing that Smitch would do to Joey is bench him after he has a good game ... That's standard smitch.

Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
