Blogger's note: Maybe neither

mustafa

doug easy on will hes new to the nba

j.carlos

now...the trading of hassan adams frees up roster space, doesn't it doug? wouldn't that give bryan one roster spot to give to Carlos Delfino if they want him back? with adams departure, does that make Delfino's return more plausible? i remember you writing that he would return if jay's the coach....
I would certainly love to delfino back...

Blogger's note: Same number on the roster as there was when camp started. And stiill precariously close to the tax level.

Doug, great game blog tonight. Loved that you cut out on some of the chatting, it was a lot easier to follow, and thanks for the heads up on the auto-scroll lock thingy. Thumbs up for this version :)

Good game for Bargnani. I really hope *crossing fingers* Bargnani has turned a corner, I so want him too succeed, even thought others would like to throw him under a bus.

Anyhoo, more importantly... Raptors win, though for a while there I thought I was listening to the Bucks game. Here's hoping that Fridays game goes well, they really need that one, especially with Boston in town on Sunday.

Thanks for all your hard work, it's very much appreciated.

Hey Doug, any idea what is happening in Boston (another loss tonight) , do you think its just the ebb and flow of a long season, or are they beginning to have some issues. Correct me if I am wrong, but haven't there been a few arguments in their locker room lately.

WSG

Couldn't watch on internet so shut it down til 'Raps in an Hour'. Made sure I didn't know the score and watched it live (like), later, at 'high-speed'.

CB4 and AB really have a look sometimes lately, like they’re starting to know they could be way-above-average-good, together.

Don’t hate the idea at all that players rehabbing injuries, stay home. Can only help recovery time, really. Also don’t hate that when at home they (injured) mostly stay in the back getting treatment during the game. Maybe sometimes, allows a better cohesive factor for the players who are dressed and ready to go.

Go Raps!

Hi GM, Happy New Year to you too. I am acctualy hoophead from soccer crazy place (at which we suck)and place where we won 5 World championships like Brasil in soccer I guess. Now (last 5 years) we suck at hoops as well, but what can you do.
As I stated what annoyed me is people ripping Will for the wrong reasons. And his hot-shooting star teamates did nothing to "demand" the ball on those possesions. He was being criticized for plays obviously called by Jay, for doing what defence was giving him.
Does Will deserve criticism, absolutely. Even mentioned that 3 by Ridnour. How about tonight, fouling Mike on that 3 pt shot at the end of the game. People have wrong expectations from him. He is not a point guard, never was and by the look of it never will be one (at least not good one). He is a combo guard and should not be ripped for not being able to match, say Jose in running the offence. Does not help that he is still adjusting to the fact that he is not a star player on Fener or Maccabi any more, rather 5 th option when on the floor. His constant yapping with refs is also not helping, and so on.
Everyone gut stuck on two missed shots, yet in last 3 games since Jose went down, he's got 22asst vs 6 to's, and tonight
15 pts,5 ass, and only 2 to's. Or, people screaming CB did not get enough touches in the 4 th qtr in Milwaukee, untill someone posted detailed account of every touch that he got
(at lesat on 10 possesions).
As for puckheads, that was meant in good humor.
And, I do not hate hockey, just do not watch it, well I do watch tyke and minor atom hockey that my kids play. What I do not do, is go on Leafs or NHL blogs and post stuff like McCabe is shooting too much and he sucks ( which he does so people tell me) and so on.

Jonathan

I almost laughed my brains out at the comment Jerome P. made about ruling at fantasy basketball. Doug, if you ever want to take him up on his challenge, be sure to introduce me to him. I also rule at fantasy (now retired though), and I don't even need to watch any games or players. I'd be glad to come out of retirement just to knock him down a few pegs.

GM

Hey Darko, hate is too strong a word. I misused it. I just don't care a whit about hockey. I don't even know who McCabe is. So while it's possible for you to be a hoophead from a soccer crazy place, it's also possible for many here to be hoopheads from a hockey crazy place. That's all. And it's also possible for someone to love both sports and be up on the nuances of both. Happy New Year to you, too!
