Why doesn't BC go sign a bunch of D leaguers. At least they might try to win for this city, rather than just collecting a check.

What a disgusting, fraud of a year.

Wah, wah, wah...all this whining from annoying fans is getting ridiculous. Doug I don't know how, or even why you put up with it. But if you can, I would love it if you could NOT post anymore of their stuff...or somehow put those posts in red so I know to skip over them. Thanks for live blog. You do a bang up job.

To the fans...just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Have some fun. Enjoy yourselves. And if complaining is what counts as fun for you, well then, I am at a loss for words (for once).

To John Dinner: Where've you been, saying it's "getting" ridiculous - it's been ridiculous for months. I've almost given up trying to understand how or why people insist on trying to spread ill will over sports. I figure most of the complainers are just miserable people in the other aspects of their lives, and I'm just happy I don't know these depressants! It's the freaking toy department, people! - oh, and how about all the self-deluded "experts" that spew on here - gotta love the guys in their 30s/40s in their parents' basements!

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
