Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
Bosh isn't a max player... he is like David West; a boarder line all-star, who is best suited as a second option to a stud guard... David West would have the same kind of productivity if he was here in Toronto... If we can keep Bosh, that's great but we can't win if we build around him. We need to draft or trade for a stud guard, then make Bosh a 2nd option. Perhaps we ship Bargnani (I know, I like him too but we don't have anyone else with 'value'), along with Kapono and Parker, and get a solid 2-guard.... That's the only way to turn this franchise around.
