OBSERVATIONS:-

remember something: jr smith has history with byron scott (denver vs new orleans) and byron scott did not have good things to say about JR when he was with new orleans...

courtney lee is so under-rated....(knows how to play in his rookie season)

heat's assistant coach - david fizdale was actually an assistant coach for the atlanta hawks last season, if i am not mistaken...

Its amazing to watch a player elevate his game and focus during the playoffs, Wade has to be one of the best at this. His finals MVP performance was unreal even if he did get a little help from the refs... now he is doing it again and I don't think the refs helped guide those 3's through the rim.
I hope the heat can put some quality players around him and keep him on south beach.

I don't care what people say about the Pistons being in a better position for the summer of 2009-2010-or whatever... they must feel pretty stupid about keeping Wallace and moving Billups.
They should have went after Amare, they had lots of pieces to offer and their solid team defense would have helped make up for Amare's lack of it.

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
