the refs seem to have clearly lost the plot on these flagrant fouls...

last night in the denver - dallas game, dahntay jones makes no play on the ball and fouls brandon bass and the refs clearly saw it and only called a personal foul....clearly, it was flagrant-1, because of no play on the ball

lebron james told the ref that he was going to foul a hawks player on the next possession with 40+ seconds left in the game so he could get out of the game....the refs called a foul when lebron touched the hawks player.... (maybe dallas should have done the same thing on the last possession)

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
