What do you think of Roy Hibbert's strong start this year?

Doug:
Good numbers on a relatively bad team. He's big, but slow and has no offensive game and my buddy Mike Wells says they won't start him tonight because he's such a liabilty defending screen-roll

Roy Hibbert with no offensive game....watch sir...(i gotta feeling that tonight is a good night)

He's not good enough to beat out Amir for minutes becuase he loses concentration on defence and for every blocked shot he gets, his man gets about two putbacks when he leaves him unguarded.

Yes, Pops is not good enough to beat Amir for minutes but the rest is (to put it kindly) not true

I'd love for the tag-line at the end to be, "I'm Doug Smith, for GruntTV, the Star and the star.com"!

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
