The walking wounded look a bit healthier
It looks like the Raptors may be at full strength – well, as close to full strength as they’ll get until Reggie Evans gets healthy – for Tuesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers.
Just got done practice – they had to throw a late-working Jarrett Jack out of the gym because the Pacers came in to work out – and the reports on Marco Belinelli and Antoine Wright were promising.
According to coach Jay Triano, both of the injured players too part in a full workout; Belinelli’s groin injury is much better and Wright was able to get through the session on his still-tender ankle.
No one will say for sure who’ll be healthy tomorrow night but I’d put it at 95 per cent for Belinelli and slightly less for Wright.
The only other issue seems to be with Amir Johnson’s left knee. He tweaked it a little bit late in Sunday’s loss to Orlando but played through it for that game. He also worked out fully Monday and the only way he doesn’t go is if things flare up overnight.
He was headed right to the trainers room after practice for some treatment to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Not related to injury but I'll post this here since this is the most recent entry.
Calderon says "I'm going to finish the season at 90 percent; 98 percent is impossible. It happened once. Forget about it. Everybody has to be calm. Over 90, for sure. That's how I'll finish."
He took 154 free throws last season. Currently 26-34.
Taking the same amount of free throws as last year he has to make 139 of 154 (90.2%) he's only allowed to miss 7 more times.
He's on pace for (2.42 FT/game) 199 FT this year. If that's the case then he can miss (180/199 90.4%) 11 more times.
Think he can pull it off?

i hope some of these people on this blog don't hold grudges in real life like they do against Vince....sad an jus a waste of energy...plus way I look at it we were lucky to have him here for as long as we did, the guy can flat out play...business of b-ball is separate from the game, the playerstheir talent i never take it personally, the business side ...speaking of flat out playing you see Kobe's behind the backboard make last night...that was a shot for the ages..

Doug,
I know this has been asked before but any word on Reggie? I was at the game yesterday and saw him walking around still with a cast on it. What's up with this injury?
Blogger's note: No word, Bryan told Dave Feschuk last week it could be two weeks, could be four, could be six

Doug (the commentor, not the writer):
It's not that he left that bothers people. It's that while he CAN flat of play, he didn't. He moped around and phoned in a half-assed effort for much of that last season.
That's what has Toronto fans offended. It's not that he wanted out, it's that he wasn't willing to give it his all while he was here.

well i choose to remember the times he did play....Carter is misunderstood always has been..the guy could mope around an score 20 without breakin a sweat...to me that is talent, yes he has his issues, just ask his ex-wife he is a momma's boy no question...does he need a kick in the ass yes...but undeniably the man had more talent then any player that has come through this city by a longshot as a fan that is what i remember and appreciate...the rest is none of my business...

Hey Doug,
Did you hear about the Clippers' broadcasters suspension for the racist comments against Hamed Haddadi. I'm Iranian myself and I think that it was blown out of proportion. It was uncalled for but do you think it deserves a suspension? Any similar stories you can think of that's got to do with racism in the league in recent times?
Blogger's note: Deserves? Yeah, maybe, in this day and age. No other stories come immediately to mind

Is it true that Marco slipped in a pool of his own sweat and sustaining his groin injury?
Blogger's note: That's what he said, yes

PERSPECTIVE. If our team wins a second playoff series this year, I don't care if Calderon shoots 10% at the free-throw line.

Mark L: not only is it a waste of energy, but it seemingly hurts our team.
I'm not telling anyone they don't have a right to boo, or hold a grudge or whatever, but we have all seen and even heard Vince say how it motivates him....
So...get the picture folks...
Try another tactic to help OUR team...not THEIR team...
