This just in

I have no idea how many of you are killing time on a Sunday morning breathlessly waiting for updates but here's one:

No Antoine Wright (ankle) and no Marco Belinelli (groin) for the Raptors against Orlando this afternoon but Andrea Bargnani has apparently recovered from the flu-like symptoms that felled him Saturday and he'll strap it on and play.

Other than that, not much new in the pre-game period today; it's always a bit sluggish for these early Sunday starts.

Be back with the in-game blog in a bit.

Hey Doug, might be opening a can of worms here, but what exactly are you referencing to when you say that Bargs will 'strap it on' and play? What exactly is he strapping on?

at least one.
Tks

I like the updates as I am waiting for my satelite man to come ...so i can watch the game...someone is goign to have to step up....as no Bell's hurts he would be a good fit in todays game...Jack needsa good one or Barg's although if he is under the weather might be a long day...

did you see what Nate Robinson did last night??...what a ass, why they signed him I'll never know...D'Antonio was all over him and Marv Albert and his announcing partner were incredulous....he shot and scored on his own basket after a in-bounds play from 3 point range....although time had exprired, barely...it was a classless move but a guy that shows what he is constantly...the Knicks are bad so why don't they do a personality change on that team, it's time...

here's the link for those interested...of Nate's classless move..

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
