But can you conjure up a win?

I was wondering what you think about the clippers announcers' suspension about their comments concerning Memphis' Hamed Haddadi. Personally I think a one day suspension was a mere slap on the wrist; the comments were not explicitly racist but they were racist all the same, not to mention amazingly ignorant.

Blogger's note: It was so long ago, I can't remember what I wrote.

Doug Smith was Babcock's number 1 apologist and now he is shilling for Colangelo. Calderon is overmatched as a starting point guard as he cannot defend anyone with an ounce of quickness. Bargagni is soft and a stiff -Araujo with a jump shot....not an NBA center and with 4 more years at $ 10 million per untradeable. This team has consitently been weak in toughness and defense and bringing in soft Europeans will not solve that problem. Smith start writing the truth not shilling for MLSE!

Blogger's note: Holy crap. Babcock's No. 1 apologist? I've seen some stupid revisionist here over the years but that one takes the cakes and diminishes every single word you will ever utter or type. Really. I can take shots; but that's just flat out stupid

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
