Good going Doug....good in-game blog....very very minute mistakes...(gonna let it go)....

Man, its getting fun to watch these guys again! Its probably even more fun than a couple of years ago! Loving Amir Johnson man! What a great aqusition... And how about Jose? Plus 32- another 15 points, solid 50 percent shooting.. Andrea! Holy moly, he is looking extremely impressive. They went 7 for 16 from the three point land... I wonder what the stat is for Raptor victories when hoisting up a significant amount of three's in a game (and making them of course)...

Doug - two amazing stats from the game - AB had 0 fouls and Jose was a +32. The game certainly changed for the better when he entered.

Watching the game, it's really seeming to me that Andrea is Dirk but without the touches.

IF Bosh goes, and Bargs becomes the main offensive threat. wow, watch out!

Maybe this has been covered before, I haven't been following the blog as much as I used to, but why hasn't Rasho been getting any playing time this year? During his last stint with the Raptors, he was one of the team's most reliable players (especially as Bargnani was struggling at that time). I didn't follow him last year. Have his skills fallen off of a cliff or something or is it just the emergence of Amir Johnson that is keeping Rasho on the bench?

Blogger's note: He plays every now and then but Johnson's giving them everything they need

Doug in your blog for last night's game you support Jay's use of Jose at the end of the game bcause of his high percentage shooting, Last night he was shooting a poor percentage as well as in the 4th he was late getting out to his man and there were at least three times the Cav's pulled ahead because his defense slipped. Hedo played terrible and Jay didn't react (call a time out) when we were missing shots and they got the lead back up to 8 or 10 before he did call the timeout. If you check the box score Jack was shooting a much higher percentage than Jose. I think Jay got away from what has been working which is to use our depth to change things up with the players at his disposal. This team is on the cusp of being pretty good if hedo can wake up and play and if Jay dosen't ruin team chemistry.

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
