our 5 year, 55 million (or close to that) man needs to step up when our franchise player is out with an injury. It is unacceptable for him to play 20 minutes and produce 7 points. We are not paying him to do that, we brought him here to give us that extra push towards something big, and he has yet to produce on a consistent basis this year. Seriously, 10 mil or so a year? Come on, he is supposed to be big. I find it hard to see how you ever stand up for him Doug, he is simply not pulling his weight.

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
