The Goods On The Game, Clippers at Raptors

Seriously now, folks

This is Real Men's Professional Basketball.

They get paid, they are alive (well, most of 'em as far as I can tell) and there are baskets.

Have fun

chris bosh has got to stand tall when he's contest jump shots, instead he's in a position used when you are moving laterally (bending down)

also i am loving how reggie evans runs at the perimeter shooters providing help on screen and roll or just trying to get the perimeter player to put the ball on the floor...honestly, i am not knocking bosh, but bosh can and should do a better job of running at the perimeter players. its tough to explain, but hopefully the point is understood.

has anyone notice bargnani kill half of the fast breaks by getting the rebound but failing to pass it to the point guard who is ahead of him and getting ready to run, but Bargs kind of keeps the rebound until the opposition players are cleared from the rebound (if that makes any sense)

wow deron williams with 11 assists in 14 minutes

"Solid foul byWright to stop a fast break; some might say it was a hard foul; it was a smart one"

If someone says its a hard foul, they are nuts...

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
