Have yourselves a nice sunny day

It’s not exactly a Gone Fishin’ day (I don’t really fish) but instead of trying to make chicken salad out of chicken droppings just for the sake of having something here, I think a day of rest is in order.

Well, rest in the whole “my goodness; a fair number of weeds seem to have sprouted up in my garden and they need to be pulled” way. But you get my drift, right?

So, short story: Didn’t see much of any games Friday night, don’t have a lot to talk about today so you, and I, get a day off.

We’ll be back tomorrow with a somewhat hefty mailbag.

Happy gardening.

Thanks for updates when they are there. As to garden? Been. Going again. Weather is nice by the bay.

Enjoy your day off.

But Doug, it's not sunny here! What will I do now?

@ GM where do you live, its positively delightful at mcmaster university (if their werent exams to deal with it would be perfect)

Oh you missed a lot, two of those last night were great games :)

Happy Gardening to you too

interesting to see: orlando win and everyone hugging and high 5'ing each other for the most part..... interesting to see brendan malone hug marcin gortat after the game... it just seems like orlando has a very good chemistry....

also interesting to see how some articles (not sure if it was arizona republic) saying jason richardson definitely earned his $13.3 million salary this year and $14 million salary for next year with his 42 pt explosion in game 3....granted game 4 just started, i don't believe jason richardson is that good, he's more of a guy who if he has the hot hand can be very good, but is mostly now a jumpshooter....and can be very erratic at times....(also not to pick on amare stoudemire, but his defence is laughable)

not so lively at western... cloudy all day and then it started raining. At least it's warm though. Looks like all of the GTA has it better, so have yourself a good day Doug

Mavericks loosing in San Antonio was a GREAT game.
I'm sorry you missed it.

Manap3000, I'm not in Ontario. Doug's got readers all over the country and all over the world.

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
