Hey Doug,
thanks for making the season more interesting than the product on the floor. Surprised by the half-hearted applause for Bosh at the game? I was

Hi Doug:

Well, this sucks.

Two early, early, early questions about the future:

1. Like most everyone else who follows this team, I suspect Chris Bosh is gone in a sign and trade. If that happens, and when he comes back to pay in Toronto in another uniform, I expect cheers. Any fan has to respect what he has given this team.

That being said, no one is going to win a championship with Bosh as the go-to-guy. But I digress...

I know you are LOATHE to make speculations, but I'm going to try anyway: can a Bosh sign and trade draw a high draft pick and a really good player? In other words, do you think it is possible--hypothetically--that Coangelo can get both David Lee and the Knicks lottery pick for Bosh--even if that pick is #1?

2. Is Triano safe? Eddie Jordan will soon be on the market.

Thanks for the great year Doug. I only have time to follow a few blogs and yours is one of the best...

Wow, for all that talk about keeping the playoff race honest and holding on to its integrity the Bobcats sure wrote that game in. I mean come on, you can do a better job than no starter playing more than half the game. And even with the starters in it looked like the interest level was nearly null for long stretches.

Sort of a joke I guess. Lots of lip service.

U might give staff some kudos for helping AMir develop but I feel they held him back as I've watched him for 3 years n he is doing exactly what he has always done. He catches every passs even in the most awkward positons recovers in mid air n still either slams it home or a delicate touch for the finish. he should have been playing over 20+ minutes a game n I Gauarntee u the Raps would have won at least one more game HMMM that wold have been all they needed woldnt it. He led the league in shooting % but did not have enough shots to qualify SAD over %63 shooting pretty darn good for a guy who spent most of his time on the bench

Knicks lottery pick is in the hands of the Utah Jazz in the 2010 draft. And I believe the 2012 draft pick is in the hands of the Houston Rocket (protection). That leaves the 2011 draft pick. Do ya really wanna play out one more non-playoff season (in all honesty without Bosh) and get the 2011 draft pick and develop that guy? Didn't think so

if CB can be kept raps should! Amir Johnson too!

why pick up an option on Belinelli...isnt that a total waste of time and money?

'Terkoglu' is best coming off the bench! its a waste of time playing him as a starter.

same thing with Andreas Bargnani! these two are big guys who in short spurts can devastate an opposition.

there is no way the raps are going to get 35-40 minutes of quality play night after night from the Glu and Bargnani. thats not how those two are wired.

the raps need to keep CB4, get a class point guard ( say goodbye to calderon) and at least one other star potential starter for the first 5.

the raps starters this year for the most part, is what should actually be their bench strength.

and oh the raps should and must soon say goodbye to Colangelo. everywhere Colangelo has been he has tried to build a certain kind of team that never really works.

he got to the play-offs often enough in Phoenix but thats was it and no further..a play-off round or 2.

the raps need a gm who can build a winner. building a winning team is not colangelos forte'
