Beaten by the clock

Despite my best intentions, the need to, you know, sleep and bad early flight times have conspired against me.

So the usual pap and drivel - wildly entertaining though it is - will be a few hours late today.

Maybe it gets done when I'm at Dulles hanging out, maybe it gets done when I get home but it'll get done.

A sneak peak?

More Chris, three pointers and the Raptors have a stalker.

See you later on, enjoy the day.

Doug

I'm confused what are you doing in Dulles? There are direct flights from Miami to Toronto and even Air Canda's rates are not bad. Of course if you were trying to get to say oh Fredericton then count on a full day and selling your first born.

Doug, you need a new travel agent. Somehow you always seem to be booked on the scenic route... Three airlines fly direct from Miami/Ft. Lauderdale to T.O. For months there have been $99 tickets. I am the last to suggest that someone lose his/her job, but whoever handles your travel is either not doing their job or just care about our poor Ink Stained Wretch. So please, stop complaining about these layovers and do something about it! Serenity now...

Can you 'pontificate' on the chance that CB formerly 4 does not make the playoffs this year? And his mathematical chances might be?

Sorry previous comment was mistyped....Can you 'pontificate' LOL on the chances CB4 does NOT make the All Star Game this year? Do you think he'll eventually think it would be better to be a big fish in the big pond of Canada than a non-all star and perhaps a NON playoff player in Miami? What are the mathematical chances that he does not make the all star game?

Wow maybe you will do it soon, maybe not. And you needed to sleep in instead of work....

Your employer must be mighty proud of you!

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
