Doug, Thank God you do this Blog thingie...it's the only entertaining part of the game...

How can a 36-year-old Ben Wallace who was averaging 3 points per game coming into today be on pace for a strong double-double?

Critics used to say the Raptors were unathletic and this contributed to their poor defense. Now they have Derozan, Weems, Bayless, Amir Johnson, Julian Wright and other players considered more athletic, yet their defense is often still week. What do you attribute this too? Youth? Poor skills? coaching?

If they win this, would this be the raptor's biggest comeback ever?

Man, was I pissed off with opponents putting up season highs (in pts, rebound, assists etc)..... ben wallace puts up a career high (in points).....

as a wise man once said:"that's why they play the games!" knew that sticking it out through so many blow-outs would eventually pay off

And Bayless shows you what he can do. So, how long before Bayless is the starter? I'd like to see you laugh at that now Doug. Your perpetual love for that stiff Calderon is sickening. The timeshare is inevitable. I just hope Jay and Brian come to their senses and realize the following:

Bayless = Raptors PG of the future. Calderon = Some team's backup in 2 years.

Blogger's note: You mean like this:
Hahahahahahahaha

@ Brendan we used to say it takes one to know one. I'll go along with Doug on this one, hahahahaha.

Doug

I hope your travel home was uneventful. Now I know injuries are really a private matter but I was wondering why Peja has not been placed on some sort of injury reserved list ? Of course he could start the next game for all I know.

Thanks

Blogger's note: There is no "injury reserve" list in the NBA

And herein lies the problem with many Raptors fans. I was pretty excited myself that we acquired Bayless (sidenote: I wonder if Brendan was in the camp that hated the trade), thinking he would be a good addition to our young core. Of course, the moment Bayless has a great game, we have inane comments like this asking for Calderon's head and for Bayless to become the de facto starter. WTF? Let the kid friggin' develop, sheesh.

Bayless is a shoot first pg - even when there isn't a shot - He needs to realize there are four other guys on the floor with him -
