despite some of the horrendous losses, what i like in this team is they don't ever seem to quit, admirable for a bunch of young guys

team A shoots 43.3%.... team B shoots 51.4%....guess which team shoots better and still loses? ladies and gentlemen, the cleveland cavaliers....

on another note, been gone for a while, but until the raptors dont play defence (opponent fg% wise) and dont keep their opponents to below 50%, they are NOT winning games.....

also, it seems (too often really) like the big guy on the other team seems to have a career night or a field day shooting the ball against the raptors......de juan blair made it look like a second coming of wilt chamberlain or kareem abdul jabbar......

its sad to say, but kobe's game has declined.....so much so that the lakers might not 3-peat.....(coming out of a huge kobe fan......got his shoes)

miss me dougie? i missed ya

Career average Efficiency:
Tim Duncan 26.39
Manu Ginobili 15.63
Tony Parker 16.00
So, why is Manu a HOF candidate while Tony isn't? It's close enough that either both are in, or both are out ...

Blogger's note: If you read closely, I said Parker still had some time but, today, Manu's international success is the difference. And stats don't mean squat in this regard

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
