How is this front page news? There is a much more important playoff game going on with the Canucks that should be covered live. Typical liberal goofs wont support Canadian sports and teams yet have no trouble relaying info on basketball with only American teams involved. Pathetic excuse for a Toronto newspaper.

Blogger's note: Then why in the world are you bothering me? Please, go read The Hockey News and leave me alone. Thanks. Oh, we did cover Canucks life; I'm guessing reading comprehension isn't a strong suit of yours

oj mayo set such a hard screen on one of OKC's defenders on an out of bounds play....wow....something the raps failed to do...

the game of basketball is simple, pick and roll.....(something the lakers couldn't stop with barea etc...) and ball movement

Grizzlies vs OKC is the BEST series in the last ten years in the NBA, bar none. There is not even a series that comes close. Nothing. This is what the NBA needs and Stern is smiling ear to ear this morning. As a die hard NBA fan, this is NBA is all about, forget the Lakers and the Celtics, this is just awesome. The only thing I hate, is that it is not a best of 15 , cuz that would be amazing.

Who cares who comes out of the East? Really. The West is where it is at. Miami. Yawn as Doug likes to say. Atlanta or Chicago, ummm, who cares.

Give me the Grizzle-Dizzle( snoop dog reference) or the Thunder any day. Oh wait, they would still need to beat the Mavs. Wow, the West is awesome. The East, BORING, as boring can be.

I feel for you Doug!

BTW, why aren't you covering Osama instead of a sports? I keed, I keed!

Doug Smith's Sports Blog

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
