Sorry- what trade?

People are disgruntled because they are paying too much attention to the (other) experts -- who are disgruntled because they guessed wrong.

Surprised the Raps passed on Knight and Vesely. Vesely seems like the kind of wing player the Raps need right now.

Would trading for Parker even be wise, Doug? A Parker/Jose PG combo is pretty aged and costly

At least that someone that seems to be a legit Center. I think they wanted Kanter more but no luck.

Take away Dudley's great play at the end of the season, they take Knight.

Simply put Doug, Jose cannot be a starter in the NBA, so obviously I disagree greatly with your assessment of him and your assessment of Kemba Walker. Give me heart anytime. Having said that I still like your blog. This pick is for the future and certainly appears to be a lock out pick to some degree. I think the buy out is manageable. But the Raptors need a point guard desperately and if they don't draft or trade for one they will whither on the vine next year and maybe beyond!

Hi Doug! Seriously, who is this Jonas kid? I feel like this is a bad dream (very bad dream!) has BC lost his marbles?

Thanks for the chat, Doug; sorry about the KHs (knucklyheads).

Machiavellian angle: Dude doesn't play this coming year, Raps are in the lottery again next - a stronger, non-lockout - year, and in 12/13 they get to play 2 strong picks!

Tell you what: If BCo is feeling any pressure to take shortcuts to make himself look good on his tight two-year leash, he's sure as hell not about to let anyone see him sweat. That's cajones, baby! Cheers.

None of us are in any position to pass judgment on this pick, but one thing I can comment on is Casey's (and others') characterization of him as being athletic. From what I can tell from this clip, he has Rasho-type hops. I don't see anything the least bit athletic about him (again, judging from this short clip, but still). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS_-RMKoX9Y
O.K., so now I've just finished watching a different clip, and now I can start to see a bit of the athleticism: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzNugzv7_Uo&NR=1 Bottom line? My guess is he'll stink up the joint for a couple of years (probably a good thing, as it translates into more high lottery picks) and then turn into a pretty servicable centre, right around the time the Raps start putting things together, and just in time for BC to show the board that things are looking up.
