Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
Think raptors trade the pick? If they dont dont who do u see them
targeting in the 7 or 8 range.
Blogger's note: No clue until May 31; not touching it 'til they know where they draft

So do you have any information on what happened with JJ and the reason that he was benched?

What do you think about all the tanking around the league this year? Does the league need to change the draft lottery process?
Blogger's note: Aberration for this abomination of a shortened season

who was keeping infamous Raptor that was keeping the Season Ticket Holder up with all the "activity". It was Linus wasn't it? Another point on Linus, it would seem to me he could help someone and be traded to a team with capspace, no?
Blogger's note: No idea what you're talking about with the season ticket holder; if he could help someone, why not these guys?

Two things: the "who are the Beetles?" line was CLASSIC (glad to see that YOU aren't tanking and just mailing it in; after a gruelling season, you're still leaving it all out on the floor!
Number two: You say: Aberration for this abomination of a shortened season. Not sure I understand what you're getting at. A whole bunch of teams tanked this year, true. But a whole bunch of teams tank every year. What is it about the abbreviated nature of this season that caused the tanking to be more pronounced than usual, if that is indeed what you're getting at?
Blogger's note: Not as many do, nor do they with such a large percentage of a season left. Mailing in 10 games in 66 looks a lot worse than 10 in 82

Glad Bryan took your advice on extending Casey today: just as much as I'm glad he did not take your advice to let Triano coach this last year on his contract. Looking at what he managed to accomplish since mid-December with this team and knowing that he would have certainly been hired by someone else last year; I think this is Bryan's best move since he arrived and has really positioned this team well going forward. Hearing anything about Bryan's option year being picked up as well?

BC in his end of the season presser talked about he doesn't know if Bargnani can ever improve his rebounding....from what it is right now.. my question is why not? why cant bargnani rebound like kevin love? kevin love is an inside-outside or outside-inside player like bargnani as well...the excuses for bargnani not improving due to his game is stupid.....he is NOT GOOD at it and he doesnt improve upon it.....but lets not make excuses
