Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
Great 3rd quarter, very poor 4th. Defense on pick and roll with West was terrible, especially Bargnani

Always nice to start out the season with the exact issue that killed them last year, 4th quarter collapses.
Why guard David West? I mean just let him shoot and shoot and shoot in the 4th, forget about getting bodies in against him, lets play small ball with Lucas and Calderon and get murdered doing it.
Methinks that this is as much on Casey as anyone. He needs to step up his coaching game, big time.
Have fun on the road for November !! This team is going to be brutal on the road people if they can't even play well at home.
Blogger's note: Happy fella aren't you? Yeesh.

Raptors is the only team in the league that would take long 2's when they are up by 8. You never win by taking long 2's 7 or 8 times to close out the game. Yes, West did score but the factor was Raptors poor offensive decisions in last 5 minutes to give away the game.
