Clips: good, playoff bound team. Raps: unlikely to be a playoff team with one rusty player, and one who never played for this team. I guess that's why they play the games ... ;)

funniest comment on the IGBT was this exchange...

In your opinion, who will miss Jose the most?

DeMar; Jose always seemed to get him the ball in the right place at the right time

do you even watch the games??...are you not concerned about your integrity as a b-ball writer??...athleticism wins in todays NBA , and your column yesterday against the trade was unreal I never responded as I was confounded as it was not only mind-blowing but one of the most unprofessional columns I have ever read...were you drunk or are you?/...as this team is so much better without Jose and with Gay it can't be summed up in this homey little blog...maybe Sam /Jose and you can have a little get-together in a few years and reminisce with them paying the tab as your their biggest fan-club members...so much for objective journalism...go have a Stella you've had a rough week...cheers...

Blogger's note: Just made rougher by this crap. I absolutely 1,000 per cent guarantee my knowledge of NBA basketball is vastly superior to yours and will always be. I don't know if you like stirring up crap because it makes you feel good or what but that's a sorry act if true. And I get the last word and it's goodbye

Amir should be awarded a Purple Heart and a Boy Scout Medal of Merit.
Clips looked like they would have rather been just about anywhere else on the planet than T.O. tonight. Not much of a true test, but, props are due, the Raps D was there and solid, the assists were HUGE and the turnovers were manageable. Nice debut of Raps, Next Edition. Cheers.

DeRozan and Gay,the dynamic
duo combine for 39 points !!

Not bad for the first game of the new Raptors edition.

you confuse me at times...you say when asked with you have been in the past "are you a Raps fan'...your response is your a professional journalist which to me is to be admired...but then you prove otherwise when you were indignant when Sam is fired (justifiably so) and then that rant this week when Jose was traded was a like wow moment...you may think you know more about basketball then me but your wrong as I have no emotional attachment to the raps players/coaches at all....I just want a winner and were a much better team then we have been in years...your loyalty is to be admired (as anyone that keeps his Ford Focus this long shows it)...but it blinds you, and many out there that watch the Raps...so do what you want, ...bottom line this team is a heckavu lot better....like my dad said you make a stand, i respect it, but expect backlash an you set yourself for it not me....lose the emotional attachment, it is your biggest weakness as a reporter....cheers...

Blogger's note: Whatever. You bore me. And you made it personal. Bye
