Why has Toronto never bid on the All Star game in 17 years - what do you mean they haven't had the space? Toronto has a huge convention center...tons of hotels....stadiums..etc. What's been missing?

How about this for a trade rumour? Charlotte Bobcats are reportedly showing interest in Andrea Bargnani of the Toronto Raptors, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein. The Bobcats would offer Ben Gordon.

  • Doug Smith has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, a journey that's included seven Olympic Games, numerous and varied championships and more dreary regular season games than he'd care to remember. Here, he'll talk about them all, as well as current events and pop culture. (Just don’t ask him about music nowadays — it's not his cup of tea).
