Challenge: Write copy for an ad extolling the virtues of shaving male genitalia. Keep in mind this is for network TV, and your client is the Gillette division of a staid, Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble Co. (Tide, Ivory, Pampers). Can you find the euphemistic words?
You could start with the supposed come-hither trend behind this bid at expanding the market for sharp blades in delicate places: "Trimmin' the bush to make the tree look taller."
Then ask yourself, if your partner can be fooled that easily, do you really want to take this past a one-night stand?
