The Queen is hiring

Didn’t get your invite to the royal wedding? Now there is another way in, through the back door.
The Queen is hiring and while the position of General Assistant (wash-up) and General Assistant (Coffee Room) might not be the career of your dreams, they will get you behind the walls of Buckingham Palace.

“You will join the team responsible for arranging trays for tea and coffee, breakfast and other service requirements. You will ensure trays are set with the correct glass and porcelain and that drinks and food items are prepared and presented to the highest standard,” the Coffee Room job posting on the official website of the British monarchy reads.

For $22,000 a year the successful candidates will be provided with accommodation and expected to travel two to three months a year, providing their services at other royal properties.

There is also an opening for Head of Royal Travel. It won’t get you behind the scenes at the wedding, but at least you’ll have a heads up when it comes to the royal honeymoon.
