Ring-less William admits to pre-wedding nerves
Looks like Prince William is human after all.
In a rare glimpse of the future king, he offered journalists a look at his life at RAF Valley in North Wales (for photo galley, click HERE), where he is a search and rescue helicopter pilot, while admitting his upcoming wedding is causing a few jitters.
And, according to the newspaper the Daily Mail, sources say William has chosen to not wear a wedding ring. "It is simply down to personal preference," the paper quotes a royal aide, adding that the decision was discussed with his bride-to-be, Kate Middleton.
The paper also said Middleton will wear a band made from a lump of Welsh gold already owned by the Royal Family.
Back in Wales, William told AP that his "knees started tapping quite nervously" in a rehearsal for his April 29 marriage. And yes, there have been a few sleepless nights.
The wedding, he said, is a "daunting prospect but very exciting," adding that "there's still a lot of planning to be done."
William gave photographers a hint of his life as he went through a training exercise at nearby Holyhead Mountain. Later, he had a visit from his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, taking them on a tour through the search and rescue operation.
As for his recent bachelor party, the prince admitted that "it's quite good news" that he and his brother Harry were able "to outfox the media.
