A bar bill fit for a Royal
With his wedding to The Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips just six weeks away, England rugby captain Mike Tindall has given the British tabloids plenty of fodder with an eye-popping bar bill at a Miami nightclub.
The Daily Mail ran a copy of the receipt. Here are a few of the highlights:
1 bottle of Perrier-Jouët Champagne: $825
1 bottle of Dom Perignon Rose 1996: $1,395
2 bottles of Dom Perignon 1999 1.5L: $3,100
10 bottles of volka: $3,250
There was also a considerable amount of Red Bull.
The Daily Mail also dished on some of Mike's behaviour:
While the alcohol flowed, women flocked to the table, with Zara’s betrothed lifting one girl up in the air before putting his arm around a blonde.
He then turned his attention to his waitress. The pair began dancing and Tindall persuaded the brunette to take off her tutu so he could put it on. An onlooker said: ‘Mike and his friends were having a complete no-holds-barred night, they were going wild.
The groom-to-be arrived back in London today looking none the worse for wear. No word yet on Zara's reaction to the decadent weekend.
Tindall and Zara Phillips are set to tie the knot on July 30.
Zara Anne Elizabeth is the second child and only daughter of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips and is 13th in line for the throne.
Like her brother, Zara has no title, at the request of her parents, making her the first granddaughter of a British monarch to make that claim.
Like her parents, Zara is a world-class equestrian competitor and has won European championships.
